Syrup Autumn/Winter 2009 catalogue

Syrup is a Japanese mail order brand that the original mori girls Mixi community has cited as being a favourite brand. They've come up with a beautiful catalogue this fall. Like their photoshoot for Spoon, Syrup's catalogue was photographed in Estonia.

Baggy dresses and skirts with a low waistline feature prominently in the collection. Notice how layers in tiny prints peek out of the longer garments.

The castle in the background makes me feel compelled to find out more about Estonia. It looks like such a lovely country!

Printed socks and leggings in autumnal shades, shorts in dainty flower prints and a very organic-looking brooch.

The girls in this shoot have adorned their hair with ribbons and rosettes, beads and braids. Mori girls prefer more natural-looking hairstyles to high maintenance coiffs. If you're lucky enough to have natural curls, don't straighten them!

Mori girls' hemlines usually don't get as short as mid-thigh. Slightly longer skirts and shorts create a more slouchy and casual silhouette.

The pretty indoor scenes gives a whole new meaning to enjoying time out at home. The girl in the first picture is wearing the same clogs we saw in Syrup's shoot for Spoon. And I love the braided hairstyle she's wearing in the second picture.

Hope these images inspired you and gave you some ideas for your own mori girl styling. You can see the rest of the shoot here.
